VERY DISHONEST COMPANY. I had an emergency at my property because the first technician knew the drainage pipe was clogged on HVAC unit on a initial service call that he came out.

Then after the first use of HVAC the attic flooded and I called the tech and he said he knew about it and didn't say anything. So the claim was put in 5 days ago and I called it in, because Fidelity's website says call in claims for emergency and water flooding through ceiling is an emergency is an emergency and there is water damage and the longer it sits, mold can come. The flooded water is still there after 5 days and 21 calls made to Fidelity, some calls I was on hold for a service rep for 45 minutes, just for it disconnect. Then they assigned the same contractor who walked off at appointment, then it has been a series of contractors that have wrong #s or avoid setting an appointment.

I called fidelity and they will not help call the contractor to set the appointment, they just reassign. They also told me there is not enough HVAC companies that they are contracted with in Sacramento. They said I can call my own HVAC company, BUT the company has to call in a service request and that I cannot call it in, the contractor has. I called 10 top HVAC companies in Sacramento and my tenant called three and none of these Sacramento companies said they would not call in and ask for request, because they have personally been on hold for either 3-4 hours waiting for an approval or they had to argue about needed repairs with Fidelity.

Fidelity refuses to pay for secondary damage of the water leaking and sitting in the attic and in the walls.

BEWARE!!! There is no such thing as an emergency with FIDELITY and waiting for them and their lousy few techs they work with in Sacramento, could create added cost of water and lawsuits from tenants

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: $650 to pay drywall contractor.

Location: 1850 Gateway Blvd #400, Concord, CA 94520, USA

There are no service techs because there is no money in servicing home warranty companies. Itโ€™s impossible to get people to work for free, which is what home warranties areโ€”free service, with lots of complaining and threatening.

There is a shortage of techs because the only was to exist as an HVAC warranty company is in high call volume, which means you as the homeowner get less of his time. He has to service ALL of Sacramento, at least everyone with a home warranty like yourself. If the company would pay out the going rate and let the HVAC companies charge normal prices or even a percentage off, contractors would be lining up to take some of the workload. Instead, they get one or two small starving companies and overtake them with the promise of tons of work and a thin margin.

Well the margin is thin all right, to the negative side in most cases, and whenever there is a profit, it has to come out of the homeownerโ€™s wallet in the form of non-covered items. Thatโ€™s why you have to wait and wait and wait. NO MONEY!!! It is YOU who doesnโ€™t care about your tenant.

You are the one making money off renting out your property. If you werenโ€™t greedy, you would pay to have the problem fixed right away, and let the tenant live there for rent free while you get it taken care of.

How does that feel? Thatโ€™s basically the same thing you are saying about the home warranty company and the service providers.
